Twentieth Century Etiquette

Annie Randall White’s Twentieth Century Etiquette: An Up-To-Date Book For Polite Society is an etiquette book for both men and women on how to act for any turn of the century social occasion.

The book is divided into forty eight different chapters, each pertaining to a certain points of middle class life. There is even a chapter addressing the proper way a wedding should take place and clearly defines the gender roles for the bride and groom. White writes in a way trying  to enforce the gender norms of the early twentieth century. White accomplishes this by clearly defining what a man and woman should do in certain situations and what their duties are for the occasions.
